The Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Green Field Expressway is being prepared by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The construction of this expressway will be completed by December.

After this you can reach the court of Katra Vaishno Devi both by road and rail without taking extra time. The 670 km long Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway is being constructed at a cost of Rs 37,524 crore.

Nitin Gadkari had announced

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari had announced about this expressway. It is being told that with the construction of the new expressway, the distance from Delhi to Katra will also reduce.

In the past days, Gadkari had seen the progress of all the ongoing projects in Jammu and Kashmir. Right now if you go from Delhi to Vaishno Devi by road then it takes you at least 12 hours.

Will reach Amritsar in four hours.

Apart from this, it takes eight hours to travel 405 km from Delhi to Amritsar. But after the construction of the expressway, the distance to Amritsar will be covered in four hours. At the same time, Katra will reach from Delhi in six hours.

Srinagar can be reached in eight hours from this expressway. The Delhi-Katra Expressway will have the facility of food court, trauma centre, ambulance, fire brigade and traffic police station.

Starting by December, this expressway will pass through Haryana, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. With its commencement, people coming from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan will be facilitated.
