Stock Market Closing On 3 July 2023: The first trading session of the month of July has also been historic for the Indian stock market. Both the Sensex and the Nifty closed at record highs. The Sensex has managed to cross the figure of 65,000 for the first time as soon as it opens and has also closed above it. Today, at the close of the market, the BSE Sensex has closed at 65,205 with a jump of 486 points, while the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange has closed at 19,322 points with a jump of 134 points.

The biggest feature of today’s trade has been that Nifty Bank has also managed to cross 45,000 for the first time and close above it. Nifty Bank closed at 45,158 points with a gain of 410 points or 0.92 per cent. Apart from this, shares of FMCG, Energy, Metals, Infra, Media, Real Estate sectors closed with a boom. While the shares of Auto, IT, Pharma, Healthcare, Consumer Durables sector closed down. Nifty’s mid-cap and small-cap indices also closed sharply. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 15 closed with gains and 15 closed with losses. Whereas out of 50 shares of Nifty, 24 shares closed in green mark and 26 closed in red mark.

On the verge of touching 300 lakh crore market cap
With the closing of the stock market at the historical level, the market cap of the companies listed on BSE has also closed at a record high. At the close of today’s trading, the market cap of the listed stocks on BSE stood at Rs 298.21 lakh crore as compared to Rs 296.45 lakh crore in the previous trading session. In today’s trading session, there has been a jump of Rs 1.76 lakh crore in the wealth of investors.
