Talking about the stock market, there are three days holidays in the month of April and two days in the current week. The stock market will remain closed on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti on 4th April, Good Friday on 7th April and Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary on 14th April. Along with the stock market, the morning session of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will also remain closed on April 4. The evening session will be open from 5 pm to 11.30 pm.

Where will be the bank holiday

According to the calendar of RBI, on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, there are bank holidays in different cities of the country. Banks are closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur and Ranchi on this occasion. Banking work here will now be done on the next working day i.e. 5th April.

Due to Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanti in Hyderabad, there will be a bank holiday on 5th April as well. Apart from this, all the government offices are closed on account of the holiday of Mahavir Jayanti.
