When trading started in the market at 09:15 am, the BSE’s 30-share index Sensex had reached near 65,500 points with a gain of about 220 points. A decline was seen in the American markets on Friday. The atmosphere in the market had turned negative after the employment figures for the month of June came out. Due to this, disappointment was seen in Wall Street. On Friday, the Nasdaq had declined by 0.13 percent and the S&P 500 by 0.29 percent. At the same time, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at a loss of 0.55 per cent.

Today on Monday, a mixed trend is visible in the Asian markets. On the first day of the week, Japan’s Nikkei index is at a loss of 0.87 per cent, while the Topix index is down 0.61 per cent. Kospi of South Korea is in profit of 0.26, but Kosdaq is in loss of 0.36 percent. China’s Shanghai Composite is showing a gain of 0.38 percent and Hong Kong’s Hangseng is showing a gain of 1.57 percent.
Start of Sensex companies
Talking about the initial business, the shares of most of the Sensex companies are in profit. At 09:20 am, shares of 16 out of 30 Sensex companies were in the green zone, while shares of 14 companies started trading at a loss. In today’s early trade, shares like Nestle, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Industries are on the rise. On the other hand, stocks like HCL Tech, Powergrid, Titan are in loss.
