Navratri 2025 Maa Simsa: There is a mysterious temple in Simas village of Mandi district of Himachal, where it is believed that Mother Simsa, the giver of offspring, gives offspring to the childless. It is said that Mother Simsa is present in person in this temple, 25 km away from Baijnath.
Who gives the boon to women to fill their empty lap. According to beliefs, if a woman sleeps on the floor of the temple with devotion and strong faith, then Mother Simsa comes in her dream and blesses her with the birth of a child.
Mystery of Santan Datri Temple
During the days of Navratri, childless women sleep on the floor of the temple premises. Mother Simsa blesses them with a child. Hundreds of women sleep on the floor with the hope of having a child. There is a religious belief that if the mother gives them banana, orange, apple and guava in the form of fruits by appearing in their dreams, then they get a son, whereas for a daughter, she gives fruits like chilli, ladyfinger and gourd etc. in the dream.
It is also said that if someone is not blessed with a child, then the goddess gives a rope, sickle or any solid wooden object to those women in their dreams. This temple is also famous by the name of Santan Datri.
The goddess gives darshan to her devotees here in the form of a pindi. There is also a stepwell near the temple, where women sleep in the verandah of the temple only after taking a bath, so that the goddess blesses them with a child in their dreams.
It is said that if the woman continues to sleep even after getting a groom in her dream, then ants start biting her and red marks start appearing on her body. Then she has to wake up.
There is also a miraculous stone near the temple. It is said that this stone does not move even if you shake it with both hands with force, but it starts moving when shaken with the little finger.
