Sale of houses increased
According to the data, the sale of residential properties increased to 1,66,090 units in the first half of the year 2023, as against 1,44,950 units in the same period last year. However, home sales in the Delhi-NCR region declined by 26 per cent to 7,040 units in January-June this year from 9,530 units in the year-ago period.
In which cities the sale decreased?
Sales in Bengaluru declined by 11 per cent to 14,210 units from 16,020 units, while in Kolkata it declined by 31 per cent to 4,170 units as against 6,080 units. However, housing sales in Ahmedabad increased by 23 per cent to 15,710 units from 12,790 units.

Hyderabad Sales in Chennai increased by two percent to 6,680 units from 6,520 units, while in Hyderabad it increased by 24 percent to 17,890 units from 14,460 units. Sales in Maharashtra’s top two property markets – Mumbai and Pune – grew by 26 per cent.

Demand for houses in Mumbai increased from 49,510 units to 62,630 units. Sales of residential properties in Pune increased to 37,760 units during the period as against 30,030 units in the same period last year.
