DMRC has launched a dedicated mobile app named ‘DMRC Travel’ for convenient and hassle-free mobile QR ticketing for travel on its network.

So that metro passengers can get a pleasant and smooth travel experience. In this episode, Metro has taken another step forward and launched the DMRC Travel App. This app will provide relief to passengers from the hassle of getting tickets for metro travel.
DMRC Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal informed that Metro has launched a dedicated mobile app for mobile QR ticketing to make traveling on its network more convenient and hassle-free than ever before, which was formally launched by Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC. In the presence of senior officers from the headquarters located at Metro Bhawan.
With the help of this app, passengers can now buy mobile QR tickets from their smartphones, so that they do not have to go to ticket counters and vending machines or stand in queues. Passengers will now be able to start their journey by taking tickets in a quicker and easier way than before, which will save their time as well.
These facilities will be available in the app
To buy QR based tickets through this app, you can choose the option of UPI, credit-debit card and wallet payment as per your convenience. You can easily buy tickets by doing transactions. Apart from this, other passenger facilities like travel planner, fare, station information, smart card recharge are also available in this app.
The app also gives route information from origin to destination including interchange stations. With its help, the previous transaction can be seen. Re-tickets can be booked for travel from origin to destination and back. This app is available on both Android and iOS platforms. Passengers can download it from the respective app stores.
Get QR based ticket like this
To buy tickets from the DMRC travel app, first of all it has to be downloaded from the app store of the concerned mobile, after which an account will need to be created in it. Then you can also sign in with the help of Facebook-Gmail. After login, select the Book Ticket option from the menu.
You have to provide the starting station and destination station information. As soon as you enter this information, this app will give you information about the travel fare, the number of stations to be visited during the journey and the time.
After this you will have to confirm the journey details entered by you while proceeding with the booking by selecting the ticket number, after which you will have to make the payment by choosing the option of Nant Banking Debit-Credit Card, Wallet or other payment. After successful payment, QR based ticket will be generated in the app which has to be presented at the time of commencement of journey, at entry and exit at AFC gate.
60 percent gate upgrade for QR tickets
Anuj Dayal informed that DMRC has already upgraded more than 60 percent of its AFC gates with QR code scanners to provide cashless and faster ticketing mode and aims to upgrade the remaining gates in the next 1.2 months Is.
