CNG Price Hike: There is news of shock for the people living in Delhi and NCR. Indraprastha Gas Limited had increased the price of CNG on Wednesday itself and has secretly executed this price hike.

CNG Price Hike: If you live in Delhi-NCR area then this news may shock you. CNG prices have increased in many areas including Delhi. Indraprastha Gas Limited has increased the price of CNG by up to one rupee. According to the information available on the website of IGL, this increase has been done in many cities other than Delhi.

The new price has also come into effect from 23 August 2023. After this increase, CNG is being sold in Delhi at Rs 74.59 per kg. Apart from Delhi, the price of CNC has also increased in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Rewari and Hapur.

Apart from Delhi, prices have increased in these cities as well.

Indraprastha Gas Limited has also increased the price of CNG in Noida adjacent to Delhi. Here CNG is getting costlier by Rs 3 at the rate of Rs 80.20 per kg. On the other hand, in Greater Noida, the price of CNG has increased by Rs 2 and it is available at the rate of Rs 79.20 per kg. Talking about Ghaziabad, CNG is available at Rs 79.20 after being costlier by Rs 2. The new price of CNG has been fixed at Rs 82.20 per kg in Rewari and Rs 79.20 per kg in Hapur.

The price was reduced in July

Significantly, in order to give relief to the general public from expensive CNG, the central government had changed the standards for fixing the price of CNG in July. Due to this, a big drop in the price of CNG was recorded in many states including Delhi.

CNG is generally used as fuel for vehicles. Apart from this, it is also used extensively in power generation. In such a situation, the increase in the price of CNG will increase the burden on the pockets of common people who are already troubled by inflation.
