More toll collection after FASTag installation

Significantly, BJP MLA Shankar Lalwani had questioned the Transport Minister about the time taken at the toll plaza. Along with this, he had also asked what the government was doing on the long traffic jam at the toll plaza.

Is any new system being developed for this? Giving a written answer to this question in the Rajya Sabha, Nitin Gadkari has said that after the installation of FASTag on the National Highway, there has been an increase in the collection of toll plazas. However, sometimes due to some technical problems, there is a long queue at the toll plaza.

Decrease in average time

The survey conducted by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has revealed that earlier it usually took 734 seconds for vehicles, which has now come down to only 47 seconds.
