Stock Market Opening: At the beginning of the stock market, the Nifty opened at a decline of about 180 points and the Sensex slipped one percent. Infosys is down more than 8 percent but Bank Nifty remained at record high.
Stock Market Opening: The stock market has started with a tremendous fall and due to the strong fall in Sensex-Nifty, they have slipped from important levels. The Sensex has opened with a loss of about one percent and the Nifty has come down to the level of 19800, which closed yesterday after reaching very close to 20,000.
How did the market open today
At the time of market opening, the BSE’s 30-share index Sensex opened at a level of 66,907.07 with a decline of 664.83 points, or 0.98 per cent. Apart from this, the NSE’s 50-share index Nifty opened at 19,800.45, down 178.70 points or 0.89 per cent.
Infosys shares fell 8 percent
Infosys’ stock has registered a decline of more than 8 percent today and in yesterday’s results, the company had reduced the revenue guidance, due to which this negative effect has been seen on the stock. Infosys’s ADR was also shown with a tremendous decline in the US markets.
Market down but Bank Nifty at record high
Even though the market is on the decline today, the Bank Nifty has reached a record high. A new high of 46,369.50 has been made by Nifty Bank and 10 out of 12 stocks are trading with a boom.
Sensex and Nifty shares
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 14 stocks are trading fast and 16 stocks are registering a decline. Out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 23 stocks are showing strength and 26 stocks are trading with a decline. Apart from this, 2 stocks are trading with no change.
Condition of sectoral index
Apart from Auto, Financial Services, Media and PSU Bank sector, all other sectoral indices are trading with a decline. The maximum IT index is trading with a decline of 3.19 percent. At the same time, consumer durables have broken 0.84 percent and there is a weakness of about 0.5 percent in realty shares.
How was the market move in pre-opening
Today, in the pre-opening of the market, the BSE Sensex was down by 588.18 points i.e. 0.87 percent at the level of 66983.72. On the other hand, NSE’s index Nifty was trading at the level of 19790.60 with a gain of 188.55 points or 0.94 per cent.
