Stock Market Closing: The return of buying in the last hour brightened the market, Indian stock exchanges closed rapidly

Stock Market Closing On 16 August 2023: For the second consecutive day this week, the Indian stock market has closed in the green mark after recovering from the lower level. Even today the Sensex opened with a fall of 162 points. And at one time a decline of 368 points was seen in the Sensex. While the Nifty opened by falling 65 points and slipped down to 117 points. But due to buying in the last hour before the closing of the market, the Sensex has gained 137 points to close at 65,539 and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty has closed at 19,465 points with a gain of 30 points.

Condition of the sector

In today’s trade, stocks of Auto, IT, Pharma, FMCG, Media, Energy, Infra, Healthcare, Oil and Gas sectors closed with a boom. While there has been a decline in banking and metals stocks. Buying was also seen in mid cap and small cap stocks in today’s trade. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 17 closed with gains and 13 with losses. Whereas, out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 25 stocks closed with a boom and 25 with a decline.

Bullish stocks

In today’s business, Ultratech Cement closed with a gain of 2.44 per cent, NTPC 2.04 per cent, Tata Motors 1.92 per cent, Mahindra & Mahindra 1.55 per cent, Power Grid 1.37 per cent, Maruti Suzuki 1.13 per cent. While Tata Steel closed down by 1.90 per cent, Bharti Airtel by 1.14 per cent, Bajaj Finserv by 0.86 per cent, Axis Bank by 0.67 per cent.

Benefit to investors

In today’s trade, after recovering from the lower level of the market, there has been a jump in the wealth of the investors. The market cap of companies listed on BSE has closed at Rs 304.36 lakh crore, which came down to $ 303.67 billion in the previous session. That is, in today’s trade, there has been a jump in the market cap of Rs 69,000 crore.
