Share Market Update: Due to buying in banking and AFMCG shares, the market was saved from seeing a big fall. While the Nifty IT index closed down 4.71 per cent.
Stock Market Closing On 17th April 2023: After a three-day holiday, the first trading day of this week was extremely disappointing for the Indian stock market. Due to the huge fall in IT stocks led by Infosys, there has been a big fall in the market. Although the market also recovered from the lower level. At one time the Sensex fell by 1000 points and the Nifty fell by 254 points, but due to buying in banking and FMCG stocks, the market recovered and at the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex fell by 520 points to 59,910 below 60,000, while the National Stock Exchange’s The Nifty closed at 17,706 points with a decline of 121 points.
Health of sectors
In today’s trend, the shares of sectors like Banking, FMCG, Energy, Auto, Oil & Gas, Consumer Durables closed with a boom. While the shares of sectors like IT, Pharma, Healthcare closed with a decline. The Nifty IT index closed with a decline of 4.71 per cent or 1334 points. Buying has been seen in smallcap and midcap index shares. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 16 closed higher and 14 closed lower. While 31 of the 50 Nifty stocks closed with gains and 19 closed with losses.

Bullish stocks
In today’s trade, Nestle closed with a gain of 4.03 per cent, Power Grid 2.29 per cent, SBI 2.04 per cent, IndusInd Bank 1.37 per cent, Kotak Mahindra 1.31 per cent, UltraTech Cement 1.26 per cent. While Infosys closed down by 9.40 per cent, Tech Mahindra by 5.25 per cent, HCL Tech by 2.72 per cent.
Investors’ wealth increased
In today’s trading session too, no major change has been seen in the wealth figures of the investors. The market capitalization of the company listed on BSE has increased to Rs 265.94 lakh crore, while it was Rs 265.93 lakh crore in the previous trading session.
