Stock Market Closing: Mixed business in the stock market on the last trading day of the week, FMCG-IT stocks closed sharply

Share Market Update: This week there has been a huge decline in the shares of the IT sector. But on Friday, there was a boom in the shares of the sector.

Stock Market Closing On 21st April 2023: The last trading day of the week has been disappointing for the Indian stock market. The Nifty closed in the red mark with a slight rise in the Sensex. Due to the fall in banking and auto stocks, this decline has been seen in the market. At the end of the recent trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 59,655 points with a gain of 22.71 points. While the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed with a very slight decline of 0.40 points.

Condition of the sector

In today’s trade, the sectors of IT, FMCG, Pharma, Media, Healthcare and Oil & Gas closed with a boom. While the shares of banking, auto, metals, consumer durables sector declined. The Midcap and Smallcap indices also closed down. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 14 closed with gains while 16 closed with losses. Whereas, out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 24 stocks closed up and 26 closed down.

Bullish stocks

In today’s trade, ITC 1.99 per cent, TCS 1.84 per cent, Wipro 1.42 per cent, Asian Paints 1.27 per cent, HCL Tech 1.09 per cent, HDFC 0.64 per cent, Kotak Mahindra 0.51 per cent, Bajaj Finance closed with a gain of 0.44 per cent. While Tech Mahindra closed down by 2.26 per cent, Maruti Suzuki by 1.86 per cent, Tata Steel by 1.71 per cent, UltraTech Cement by 1.49 per cent.

Investors’ wealth increased

In today’s trading session too, there has been a decline in the wealth of investors. The market capitalization of the company listed on BSE came down to Rs 264.97 lakh crore from Rs 265.40 lakh crore on Thursday. That is, in today’s session, there has been a decline of Rs 43000 crore in the wealth of the investors.
