Stock Market Closing On 5th April 2023: Wednesday’s trading session has been excellent for the Indian stock market. In the second trading session of the new financial year, the Sensex jumped 500 points due to investors’ buying. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 59,689 with a gain of 582 points and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 17,557 points with a gain of 160 points. Tomorrow RBI’s monetary policy will come out, on which the movement of the market will depend.
Sectorol update
In today’s business, there has been a boom in the stocks of Banking, IT, Pharma, FMCG, Infra, Consumer Durables and Healthcare sectors. While profit-booking has been seen in energy, auto, sector shares. In today’s trading, where the index of smallcap sectors has closed with a boom, the midcap index has closed in the red mark. Of the 50 Nifty stocks, 38 closed with gains while 12 closed with losses. Whereas, of the 30 Sensex stocks, 21 closed with gains and 9 with losses.

Fast falling stocks
In today’s business, Larsen 3.96 per cent, HDFC 2.97 per cent, HDFC Bank 2.72 per cent, ITC 1.93 per cent, Dee, Sun Pharma 1.93 per cent, HUL 1.78 per cent, Titan Company 1.39 per cent, TCS closed with a gain of 1.17 per cent. Among the falling stocks, Mahindra closed down by 1.29 per cent, IndusInd Bank by 1.26 per cent, NTPC by 1.01 per cent, SBI by 0.73 per cent, Maruti Suzuki by 0.59 per cent.
Investors’ wealth increased
In today’s trading session, there has been a huge jump in the wealth of investors. The market capitalization of the company listed on BSE has reached Rs 261.31 lakh crore, which was Rs 259.63 lakh crore on Monday. In today’s trading, there has been a jump of Rs 1.68 lakh crore in the wealth of investors.
