Stock Market Closing: Indian stock market closed with a boom due to buying in FMCG and consumer durables stocks, buying in mid cap stocks too

Share Market Update: The market was trading with a decline in the morning, but after returning to buying during the day, the market came in green.

Stock Market Closing On 25th May 2023: Thursday has been a better day for the Indian stock market. The market closed in the green mark due to buying in FMCG and consumer durables sector stocks. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 61,872 points with a jump of 99 points, while the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 18,321 points with a jump of 36 points.

Condition of the sector

Strong buying was seen in FMCG stocks in today’s trade. Nifty FMCG closed with a gain of 0.61 per cent or 302 per cent. Apart from this, there was a boom in the shares of consumer durables sector as well. Sector shares of IT, Auto, Pharma, Banking, Metals, Infra closed with a boom. While the shares of Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Commodity, Energy sectors closed down. Mid-cap and small-cap stocks were also bright. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 28 closed with gains and 22 closed with losses. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 15 closed with gains while 15 closed with losses.

Falling stocks

In today’s trade, Bharti Airtel closed with a gain of 2.93 per cent, ITC 1.76 per cent, Kotak Mahindra 1.17 per cent, Larsen 0.99 per cent, Power Grid 0.74 per cent, Bajaj Finance 0.70 per cent. While Wipro closed down by 1.35 per cent, Tata Motors by 1.06 per cent, IndusInd Bank by 0.91 per cent, Sun Pharma by 0.71 per cent.

Rise in investor wealth

In today’s trading session, investors’ wealth has increased due to the rise in the market. The market cap of companies listed on BSE has increased to Rs 280.46 crore, which came to Rs 279.55 lakh crore on Wednesday. That is, there has been a decrease of Rs 91000 crore in the wealth of the investors in today’s trade.
