Stock Market Closing 28 August 2023: On the first trading day of the week, the Indian stock market closed with a boom. The market has seen a boom due to buying in banking, auto and mid cap stocks. However, on the day of Reliance’s AGM, the stock of Reliance and Jio Financial Services closed down. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex 110 and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty have closed with a gain of 40 points.
Condition of the sector
In today’s trade, the shares of Banking, Auto, Pharma, Metals, Real Estate, Energy, Infra Consumer Durables sector closed with a boom. While the shares of IT, FMCG, Oil and Gas sectors closed down.
Mid cap and small cap stocks gained momentum in today’s trade. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 17 closed with gains and 13 with losses. While 29 of the 50 Nifty stocks closed with gains and 21 with losses.

Rise in investor wealth
In today’s trade, after the rise in the stock market, there has been a jump in the wealth of the investors. The market capitalization of companies listed on BSE has increased to Rs 307.89 lakh crore, which was Rs 306.74 lakh crore in its first session. In today’s trade, a jump of Rs 1.15 lakh crore crore has been seen in the wealth of the investors.
Bullish stocks
In today’s trade, Power Grid 2.50 per cent, Larsen 2.09 per cent, Mahindra & Mahindra Rs 1.95 lakh crore, HDFC Bank 1.01 per cent, Sun Pharma 0.89 per cent, Maruti Suzuki 0.87 per cent, Axis Bank closed with a gain of 0.68 per cent. While Reliance closed down by 1.11 per cent, Nestle by 0.97 per cent, HCL Tech by 0.67 per cent, Titan Company by 0.59 per cent.
