Share Market Update: In today’s session, there was a boom in mid-cap stocks in the market, apart from this, buying was also seen in energy and metals sector stocks.
Stock Market Closing On 23rd May 2023: The Indian stock market has closed flat. After noon the market came down due to profit booking in the market. But despite this, the market was bright due to the spectacular rise in the shares of Adani Group and the enthusiasm of mid-caps. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex has closed at 61,981 points with a jump of 181 points. So the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange has closed at 18,348 points with a gain of 34 points.
Condition of the sector
In today’s trade, the shares of Banking, Auto, Pharma, FMCG, Metals, Healthcare, Oil and Gas sectors closed with a boom. While there has been a decline in the shares of consumer durables, IT, infra, real estate sector. There has been a great boom in the stocks of the mid cap sector. Small cap stocks also closed sharply. Of the 50 Nifty stocks, 27 closed up and 23 closed down. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 13 closed with gains and 17 closed with losses.

Bullish stocks
In today’s trade, Bajaj Finserv closed with a gain of 1.75 per cent, Tata Motors 1.18 per cent, Asian Paints 1.07 per cent, ITC 1 per cent, SBI 0.76 per cent. While Tech Mahindra closed down by 1.21 per cent, Titan Company by 1.1 per cent, HCL Tech by 1.07 per cent, Kotak Mahindra by 0.97 per cent.
Rise in investor wealth
In today’s trading session, despite the flat trading in the market, there has been a jump in the wealth of the stock market investors. The market cap of companies listed on BSE has increased to Rs 279.78 lakh crore, which was Rs 278.88 lakh crore on Monday. That is, in today’s trade, there has been a jump of Rs 90,000 crore in the wealth of the investors.
