Stock Market Closing : Indian stock market closed at a brisk pace due to buying in IT-Pharma stocks

Share Market Update: There has been a great boom in the shares of the Pharma sector. It is believed that this has increased due to the increasing cases of Corona.

Stock Market Closing On 12th April 2023: The Indian stock market has closed sharply for the third consecutive day this week. Due to the buying of investors, the BSE Sensex rose by 235 points to 60,392 points and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 17,812 points with a gain of 90 points. Due to the increasing cases of Corona, the shares of the pharma sector were bright.

Sector update

In today’s trading session, buying was seen in the shares of Banking, Auto, IT, Pharma, Metals, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Consumer Durables sector while Energy, FMCG shares saw a decline. The rise in the stocks of midcap and small cap sector has been seen even today. Of the 50 Nifty stocks, 33 closed with gains and 17 with losses. Whereas, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 17 closed with gains and 13 closed down.

Bullish stocks

In today’s business, Infosys shares closed with a gain of 1.52 per cent, Tata Motors 1.42 per cent, HDFC Bank 1.27 per cent, Asian Paints 1.17 per cent, Tech Mahindra 1.08 per cent, HDFC 0.96 per cent, TCS 0.87 per cent, Sun Pharma 0.85. While falling stocks, Power Grid closed down by 1.58 per cent, Nestle 1.28 per cent, NTPC 1.24 per cent, Ultratech Cement 0.87 per cent, SBI 0.70 per cent, ITC 0.66 per cent and Larsen 0.63 per cent.
