Share Market : Maharashtra Day holiday in the stock market today, trading will remain closed on NSE and BSE

Trading in the stock market will remain closed on Monday (May 1, 2023) on the occasion of Maharashtra Day . There will be no trading activity on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) . After this, the stock market will open on the next trading session i.e. Tuesday (May 2) and functioning will be normal.

Let me tell you, on this day in 1960, the state of Maharashtra was established. For this reason, May 1 is celebrated as Maharashtra Day.

Business will remain closed in all segments

According to the calendar of stock market holidays in 2023 on the official website of BSE (bseindia.com), trading in equity, equity derivatives and SLB segments will remain completely closed on this day. Along with this, currency trading will also remain completely closed on this day.

Will the commodity market open?

Trading in the commodity derivatives segment and the Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) segment will remain closed in the morning session (from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm). However, business will resume in the session up to 5:00 pm.
