PNB e-KYC: Punjab National Bank, the second largest public sector bank, has issued an alert to its customers. Giving information to the customers, the bank has said that by the end of August, they should get their account e-KYC (PNB eKYC) done.
If e-KYC is not updated in your account, then your account will be deactivated. According to the rules of the Reserve Bank, the bank has started sending notices to its customers at their addresses. Along with this, the bank has also started sending SMS to the registered mobile number. The bank has also started giving this information to the customers through newspapers.
Why is it necessary to update KYC?
According to the rules of the Reserve Bank, it is necessary for the customers of all the banks to update KYC in their account from time to time. In such a situation, Punjab National Bank has given time till August 31, 2023 to its customers to complete e-KYC in their account. To complete this process, you can complete this work by visiting a branch or through PNB one App, IBS or registered email. If you do not do this work by August 31, then your account will be deactivated.
Very easy way to check KYC status-
Significantly, the bank gives its customers the facility to check KYC sitting at home. For this, first of all, open Net Banking and login with the credentials. After this go to personal setting and see KYC status. If the KYC process is complete then it will show complete. On the other hand, if e-KYC is not completed, you can easily complete this process through PNB One app. For this, you will have to complete your current address proof, annual income and Aadhaar based authentication. After this the process of KYC will be completed.
How to do KYC in branch
Apart from online, you can also complete the KYC process by visiting the branch. For this, you only have to submit a self decoration form in which you have to verify that you have not made any change in your address. After this the process of your KYC will be completed in the branch.
