IRCTC Special Trains : Railway’s gift to workers of Bihar, UP and Jharkhand, these special trains will run from 2024

Indian Railways Special Trains For Workers: It has been decided by the Railways to run trains for migrant laborers every day. Non-AC, general category trains will be run for low-income people like migrant workers and laborers.

Railways has taken this decision after a study, in which those states have been identified, from where a large number of people have to come and go and they have to face more waiting.

People of states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand will be greatly benefited by this decision of Railways. These people will easily get confirmed tickets. It will also be convenient to come and go together. With this decision of the Railway Board, special trains will be run every day, not only during festivals or peak season. This will reduce congestion at railway stations and on these routes. This train will be operated regularly from January 2024. It will have only LHB coach, sleeper and general coach.

Trains will run from these states including UP, Bihar, Jharkhand

According to the Railway Board, new special trains are being planned for the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal, Punjab, Assam, Gujarat, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh. These trains will be started regularly. Officials said that most of the workers, artisans, laborers and other men from these states go to metros and big cities for work.

These trains will run throughout the year

Railway officials told that these trains will run throughout the year and will transport passengers from home to metros and from metros to home. Only sleeper-general class coaches will be installed in these trains.

An official said that the migrant special trains will have at least 22 to a maximum of 26 coaches. They will be run permanently throughout the year instead of seasonal. These will also be included in the regular time table, so that passengers will be able to make reservations in advance.

Travel will be cheaper

In another development, officials said that to make Indian Railways future-ready, only two types of coaches will be kept in final service, including LHB coaches and other Vande Bharat coaches. At present, there are total 28 types of coaches in service. An official said that this will reduce the cost of repairs and travel will become cheaper.
