Indigo Order : Indigo will leave Air India behind, will make the biggest deal with the aircraft

Indigo Order: A report states that the country’s largest airline Indigo has placed an order to buy 500 aircraft.

Indigo Airlines: India’s largest airline company Indigo is preparing to buy 500 aircraft from Airbus. This deal can be completed soon, in which A320 model aircraft will be purchased. During the Airline Industries Conference held in Istanbul on June 4, a report claimed that Air India’s purchase of 470 aircraft during February has emerged as a major order leaving behind the deal.

The report states that the deal is estimated to be around $50 billion at Airbus’ most recent list prices. Bulk orders can be as little as half the price after the Airline Industries discount. The Reuters report further states that Airbus and Boeing are in talks to sell 25 A330neo or 787 wide-body jets to the same airline.

Deal discussed with Airbus and Boeing

Peter Albers, Chief Executive Officer of Indigo, arrived in Istanbul to attend the annual meeting of the International Air Transport Association. However, he has not commented on the deal with the airbase. At the same time, no comment has been given from Airbus or Boeing. According to Reuters, IndiGo was in discussion with Airbus and Boeing regarding its order. If the deal happens, it will be the biggest aircraft deal ever.

Airbus and Boeing will earn billions of dollars

The report claims that the airline has already ordered 830 Airbus A320 aircraft from Airbus, of which around 500 are yet to be delivered. IndiGo is one of the biggest customers of Airbus. In this new order, Airbus and Boeing will earn billions of dollars apart from 2030. At the same time, Turkish Airlines has announced that it will order 600 jets. However, so far no speed has been seen in it.

Focus on increasing the number of passengers

According to a Barclays report, Indian carriers have the second largest backlog in the industry, next only to the US. In such a situation, Indian airlines can place more orders for jets to increase the number of passengers.

Indigo can increase its capacity

The report said that even after high fares, Indigo is the third largest carrier in the world. It is expected to double its capacity besides expanding its network. It has codeshare deals with seven airlines including Turkish Airlines, American Airlines and KLM.
