Indian Stock Market Closing : In the second consecutive trading session, the Indian stock market closed with all-round selling, Sensex 542 and Nifty fell 145 points.

Indian Stock Market Closing On 3 August 2023: The second consecutive trading session this week has proved to be very disappointing for the investors of the Indian stock market. After the opening of the European markets, once again in the afternoon, all-round selling was seen in the Indian markets.

Sensex fell around 800 and Nifty fell by 230 points. At the close of the market, the BSE Sensex fell by 542 points to 65,240 and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty fell by 145 points to close at 19,381 points.

Sectorol update

In today’s trade, except for the stocks of Pharma, Healthcare and Media sectors, there has been a decline in the stocks of all other sectors. Bank Nifty closed down by 482 points or 1.07 per cent. Sector shares like Auto, IT, FMCG, Metals, Energy, Infra, Oil & Gas, Consumer Durables closed down. However, in the midst of this decline, vigorous buying has been seen in mid-cap and small-cap stocks.

Heavy loss to investors

Due to the fall in the market, investors have suffered losses in today’s trade. The market cap of companies listed on BSE came down to Rs 302.39 crore, which was Rs 303.29 lakh crore in the previous trading session. In today’s session, there has been a decrease of Rs 90,000 crore in the wealth of investors. And in the last two trading sessions, investors have lost Rs 4.40 lakh crore.

Bullish stocks

In today’s trade, Infosys closed with a gain of 0.60 per cent, NTPC 0.43 per cent, Sun Pharma 0.40 per cent, Kotak Mahindra 0.06 per cent. While Titan closed down by 2.40 per cent, Bajaj Finserv 2.29 per cent, ICICI Bank 2.24 per cent, Nestle 1.99 per cent, SBI 1.33 per cent, Bajaj Finance 1.31 per cent.
