Heart Attack : Before a heart attack comes, these things can save your life, you get an alert immediately

According to WHO and AHA, the most common symptom of a heart attack is a pressure, heaviness, squeezing pain in the middle of the chest. This pain lasts for a few minutes and often occurs repeatedly, which people ignore.

Cases of heart attack are increasing rapidly in India. If we look at the data of Indian Heart Association, every year about 20 lakh people in India fall prey to heart disease, most of which are heart attacks. This disease, which was earlier seen in older people, has now started making young people of 15 to 20 years its victim. The main reason for this is unhealthy eating, tension and disordered lifestyle. The thing to note is that before a heart attack, our body gives many signals. If these signals are recognized on time, then life can be saved. Let us tell you what things can save life before a heart attack.

What are the initial symptoms of a heart attack?

According to doctors, heart attack does not come suddenly. Sometimes its symptoms start appearing a few weeks in advance. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA), the most common symptom of a heart attack is pressure, heaviness, squeezing pain or burning sensation in the middle of the chest. This pain lasts for a few minutes and sometimes happens repeatedly. Usually people ignore it. Apart from this, breathlessness without exertion can be a sign of lack of oxygen in the heart. If you are having sudden pain in your left arm, shoulder, neck, jaw or stomach and back, then it can be a sign of heart attack. Frequent sleeplessness at night and feeling like vomiting can also be a sign of heart attack. Apart from this, when the heart is not able to pump blood properly, there can be swelling in the feet, ankles or toes.

These methods can save life

The first 60 minutes of a heart attack are called the golden hour. If the patient gets treatment during this time, the chances of survival increase by 90 percent. For this, the first and most important step is to call the emergency number. If you are alone, then immediately inform a neighbor or an acquaintance, because at such times every second is precious. In such a situation, one should not drive the car himself, because the problem can increase on the way.

Aspirin can help

If you are feeling symptoms of heart attack, you can take 300 mg tablet of aspirin. It has to be kept in mind that you should not be allergic to it and this medicine should not be used without doctor’s advice. Aspirin thins the blood and can prevent blood clots from forming, which is the main cause of heart attack. According to the American Heart Association, aspirin can reduce the damage to the heart by 20-30 percent.

This medicine can also give relief

If you are a heart patient, you can take nitroglycerin medicine prescribed by the doctor. It should be used as per the doctor’s advice. This medicine can increase the flow of blood to the heart by widening the blood vessels and can reduce chest pain. However, this medicine should not be taken without consulting a doctor.

CPR can also save life

If symptoms of heart attack are visible, sit or lie down immediately. During this, try to breathe deeply and do not take tension at all. If a person has become unconscious after a heart attack and is unable to breathe, then immediately start CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). If the person present near the patient does not know how to give CPR, then he should give hands-only CPR to the patient. For this, press the middle of the chest rapidly. This speed should be 100 to 120 times per minute. This helps in creating blood flow.
