GoFirst airline crisis averted! Flights will start again, DGCA took this big step

GoFirst Airline: The DGCA team will verify the preparations related to resuming flights by taking stock of GoFirst’s units located in Delhi and Mumbai. After going through the revival plan submitted by the resolution professional of the airline undergoing insolvency process on June 28, the DGCA has decided to conduct a special audit of its preparedness.

Go First Crisis: Aviation regulator DGCA has started a special audit of Go First facilities. Actually, GoFirst has sought approval to start operations again. In view of this, this audit is being done.

After this, it is expected that the airline may again be allowed to start flights on the limited route. A GoFirst official said that a team of DGCA officials has started a special audit of the airline’s facilities in Mumbai.

Took stock of preparations for resumption of flights

The airline official said that the DGCA team will assess GoFirst’s Delhi-based unit on Thursday. The report of the special audit is expected to be submitted on the same day. The DGCA team will verify the preparations related to resuming flights by taking stock of GoFirst’s units located in Delhi and Mumbai.

Actually, after looking into the revival plan presented on June 28 by the resolution professional of the airline going through the bankruptcy process, the DGCA has decided to conduct a special audit of its preparations.

The operation of Go First has been closed since May 3,

only on the basis of the result of the audit, any kind of decision can be taken about starting the flight again. Go First flights have been closed since May 3. The airline has announced to stop flights till 10 July. During this,

the airline also filed an application to start the insolvency resolution process citing financial problems, on which it has also received approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

The revival plan has been approved by the Committee of Lenders (COC) of GoFirst. Under this, the airline wants to resume operations with 26 aircraft. This includes four aircraft for chartered services and more than 150 flights per day. Last month, GoFirst has also secured lenders’ approval for interim funding of Rs 450 crore. After this approval, the way has been cleared to resume the operations of the closed airline.
