Go First Crisis : GoFirst flights will start again! DGCA will approve after examining the documents

Along with this, an audit will also be done on the preparedness before giving permission to resume the operation. The management of GoFirst discussed various aspects regarding the revival plan with the DGCA officials.

Airline undergoing voluntary insolvency proceedings

The budget airline GoFirst, which was owned by the Wadia family, has been undergoing voluntary insolvency proceedings for the past few days. Sources in the know of the development said that the airline’s EY-backed resolution professional Shailendra Ajmera and interim CEO Kaushik Khona made a detailed presentation to the DGCA on the revival plan.

The audit is expected to begin next week,

after completion of the verification of documents in this regard. DGCA will also conduct the audit to assess the operational preparedness of the airline. The source claimed that the audit is expected to begin next week. Another source said that the airline, before the grounding, was starting the airline for 29 domestic routes. But after the revival, the number of routes is to be reduced to 23.

With this, it is expected that GoFirst will not operate flights to Jaipur, Lucknow, Kannur, Patna, Varanasi and Ranchi when the flights start again. After examining the documents submitted by GoFirst, the DGCA will assess its preparedness to operate the flight again.
