Gautam Adani: Adani Group’s veteran company starts new plant, this country will earn from electricity supply

Gautam Adani: On April 6, the first unit of the 800 MW power plant achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD). It said that power supply to Bangladesh from the Godda plant would enhance energy security in the neighboring country.

Adani Power Share Price: Adani Power has started exporting power to Bangladesh from its 1,600 MW plant at Godda in Jharkhand. Adani Power Jharkhand Limited (APJL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Power Limited, has achieved the Commercial Operation Date (COD) of Unit II of its 2×800 MW Godda Ultra-Supercritical Thermal Power Plant, Adani Power said in a statement. .

Agreement signed with Bangladesh on 25 June

The reliability run test of the second unit of the Godda Power Plant took place on June 25 in the presence of officials from Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and Power Grid Corporation of Bangladesh (PGCB). On April 6, the first unit of the 800 MW power plant achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD).
It said that power supply to Bangladesh from the Godda plant would enhance energy security in the neighboring country.

It was told in the statement that Adani Power Jharkhand Limited (APJL) will supply 1,496 MW of electricity from the 2×800 MW Godda USCTPP. Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has implemented it since November 2017. It said that the electricity supplied from the Godda power plant will have a positive impact on Bangladesh’s electricity situation by replacing expensive electricity generated from liquid fuels.

This change will help in reducing the average cost of power purchased by Bangladesh. Mr. SB Khayaliya, CEO of Adani Power Limited said, ‘Godda power plant will work as a friendship with Bangladesh. This will be the beginning of a new era in the diverse and long-term relations between India and Bangladesh. Godda USCTPP was completed by APJL in three and a half years.

Let us tell you that the stock of Adani Power Limited rose by half a percent to Rs 254.65 in the closed trading session on Wednesday. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 132.55 on February 28 after the Hindenburg report came out last day. Earlier this share had touched a high of Rs 432.80 on August 22 last year.
