Method of worship-
Gana means Shiva and Gauri means Mother Parvati.On the day of Gangaur Puja, clay idols of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati are worshipped.Churma is offered as bhog during the puja.According to religious beliefs, the more jewels are offered to Mother Parvati on the day of Gangaur Puja, the more intense and splendor increases in the house.After the aarti of the mother is done, the idol is immersed in the flowing water or lake.
