Dollar vs Rupee Price : Rupee weakened against dollar on the first day of the week, fell by 15 paise

Dollar vs Rupee Price Today: On Monday, the stock market opened with a rise while the rupee opened with a fall against the dollar. Apart from this, the country’s foreign reserves have also declined. Today the rupee opened 15 paise lower against the dollar. Whereas on Friday last week, the rupee had closed at 82.62 against the dollar. Crude oil prices continue to fluctuate.

The rupee fell 15 paise to 82.77 against the US dollar in early trade on Monday. The reason for this is believed to be the increase in crude oil prices. Today both the stock market indices are trading on the green mark.

Today , the rupee opened at 82.71 on the Interbank Foreign Exchange , then touched 82.77, registering a decline of 15 paise compared to the previous close. At the same time, on Friday last week, the rupee had closed at 82.62 against the dollar.

According to the dollar index, which reflects the strength of 6 currencies, the dollar declined marginally by 0.06 per cent to 104.17.

Gaurang Somaiya, Forex and Bullion Analyst at Motilal Oswal Financial Services said

If we talk about the price of crude oil, then the global oil benchmark Brent crude futures rose by 0.01 percent to USD 88.56 per barrel.

Today, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading 137.71 points or 0.21 per cent higher at 65,524.87. The broader NSE Nifty rose 56.30 points, or 0.29 per cent, to 19,491.60.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 487.94 crore on Friday, according to exchange data.

India’s foreign exchange reserves declined by US$30 million to US$594.858 billion in the week ending August 25. This information has been given by the Reserve Bank of India. Foreign exchange reserves had declined by US$ 7.273 billion to US$ 594.888 billion in the previous week.
