Diesel Price Cut: Diesel is available cheaply at Reliance-BP’s pump, when will government oil companies reduce the price?

Reliance BP Diesel Price Cut: Government oil companies are selling diesel at Rs 89.62 per liter in the capital Delhi. Reliance BP is selling diesel at a lower price than these.

Diesel Price Cut: If you are worried about expensive diesel then there is good news for you. If you put diesel in your car at the petrol pump of Reliance Industries, then you will have to pay less. Reliance has reduced the prices of diesel. Reliance Industries’ petrol pump diesel is getting cheaper by one rupee per liter as compared to government oil companies.

According to Reuters, from Monday, May 15, 2023, Reliance Industries has reduced the prices of diesel. Reliance is selling diesel cheaper than government oil companies after a huge reduction in the prices of crude oil in the international market. Reliance BP Mobility Limited is a joint venture company of Reliance Industries and BP of UK, which has 1555 petrol pumps in the country.

Earlier, last year, when the prices of crude oil increased in the international market, but due to the assembly elections in many states including UP, the government oil companies had frozen the prices of oil, then the companies running private petrol pumps were suffering huge losses. These companies had to shut down their pumps. Reliance BP Mobility Limited was incurring a loss of Rs 700 crore every month.

From April 2023, Reliance-BP and Russian company Rosneft-backed Nayara Energy, which has a 7 percent stake in the total petrol pumps in the country, started selling petrol diesel at the market rate after the reduction in crude oil prices. Due to the reduction in the prices of crude oil, these private companies were helped in fixing the prices of petrol and diesel at par with the government oil companies. Otherwise, petrol diesel was available cheaply at the pumps of government oil companies.

But the question arises that after the price of crude oil came down to $ 75 per barrel, the private oil marketing companies have reduced the price of diesel, but when will the government oil companies announce a reduction in the price?
