CNG-PNG Price: CNG Rs 8 and PNG Rs 5 cheaper, these two companies first gave relief to customers

CNG New Price: A reduction has been made by ATGL in CNG by 8.13 per kg and PNG by 5.06 per scm. The new prices have come into effect from 12 midnight on 8 April.

CNG-PNG Price Cut: After the approval of amendment in the guidelines for fixing the price of natural gas in the country, the price of CNG-PNG has started being cut by the companies. Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) has reduced the price of CNG-PNG. ATGL has reduced CNG by 8.13 per kg and PNG by 5.06 per scm.

The new prices have come into effect from 12 midnight on 8 April. This decision from ATGL has come only a day after the new formula of the Central Cabinet Domestic Gas Pricing was implemented.

Claims to reduce the price by up to 10 percent

Let us tell you that with the new formula for fixing the price, the government claims that the price will come down by up to 10 percent. Whose customers will get the direct benefit. Along with ATGL, Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), a subsidiary of Gail India, announced a reduction in the price of CNG and PNG in its distribution areas. Announced a reduction in the rate of CNG by Rs 8 per kg and PNG by Rs 5 per unit.

this step has also been taken by MGL keeping in mind the new system of natural gas pricing. After this announcement, the government also announced the new prices of CNG and piped cooking gas. MGL had cut the price of CNG by Rs 2.5 per kg in February. Despite this, the prices of CNG remain higher by about 80 percent as compared to April 2022.

The price of CNG-PNG will be fixed every month

Union Minister Anurag Thakur informed that the price of domestic gas has now been linked with imported crude instead of international hub gas. After this, the price of domestic gas will be 10 percent of the price of Indian crude basket.

Apart from this, the price of CNG and PNG will be fixed every month. Earlier their price was fixed twice a year. After the decision implemented by MGL from 12 o’clock on February 8, CNG will be available at Rs 79 per kg and PNG at Rs 49 per SCM.
