In the annual report of the company, information has been given about the salary of the top executives of the company. According to the report, the total remuneration of Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal in the financial year 2022-23 was Rs 16.77 crore. The company’s Managing Director Gopal Vittal’s salary was more than him. During the last financial year, Vittal’s total remuneration stood at Rs 16.84 crore.

The reason for this is also revealed in the report. In fact, there was no significant change in the salary and allowances of Chairman Mittal. The amount of salary and allowances he was getting in the financial year 2021-22, he remained almost at the same level in the financial year 2022-23.

Mittal’s annual salary and allowances stood at Rs 10.06 crore during the last financial year. On the other hand, in the case of Vittal, there was an annual increase of 10.4 per cent and the figure reached Rs 10.09 crore in the last financial year.

There was a slight difference a year ago

Earlier, during the financial year 2021-22, the total annual remuneration of Mittal was more than that of MD Vittal, but there was not much difference in the total remuneration of both. In the financial year 2021-22, where Mittal’s total remuneration was Rs 15.39 crore, Vittal received a total of Rs 15.25 crore from the company.

After that, as soon as the annual salary and allowances of Vittal increased during the last financial year, his total remuneration exceeded that of Chairman Mittal.

According to the company’s annual report, during the last financial year, Vittal’s total remuneration of Rs 16.84 crore included salary and allowances of Rs 10.09 crore and some other components.

He got a performance-linked incentive of Rs 6.74 crore. Apart from this, Vittal also got some additional facilities. While Mittal’s remuneration of Rs 16.77 crore included Rs 10.06 crore of salary-allowance, Rs 4.5 crore of performance linked incentive and Rs 2.2 crore of additional facilities.
