The customers of Punjab National Bank have got a big shock. If there is no money in the account of a PNB customer and he does transaction from ATM and it fails (PNB Failed Transaction Charges), then the bank will charge for this transaction. Let’s know about it in detail.
GST will be levied separately. Information in this regard has been shared by sending messages to the customers on behalf of the bank. Apart from this, a notice has also been issued on the bank’s website. This rule is coming into force from 1 May 2023.
This rule will be applicable from 1 May 2023
According to the notice available on PNB Bank’s website, from May 1, 2023, if a customer does a transaction from an ATM and it fails (PNB failed ATM cash withdrawal transaction charges), the bank will charge Rs 10 and GST separately on such transactions. However, this failed transaction must be due to insufficient balance. If the transaction fails due to any other reason and there is sufficient balance in the account then no charge will be deducted.
What is the guideline regarding failed transaction?
- There is a complete guideline regarding failed transactions on PNB’s website. According to this, if a transaction fails and a complaint is made, the problem will be redressed within 7 days of the complaint.
- If the failed transaction is reported within 30 days from the date of transaction and there is a delay, the customer will get a compensation of Rs 100 per day.
- Any kind of complaint related to failed transaction can be made on customer relation number 0120-2490000. Apart from this toll free number- 18001802222; It can also be complained on 1800 103 2222.
- 5 ATM Transactions Free
- According to the information available on the bank’s website, PNB customers can do 5 transactions free of cost every month. This has to be done from Punjab National Bank’s own ATM. After the completion of the free limit of 5 transactions, Rs 10 will be charged per transaction.
Charges for transactions at other ATMs
If transaction is done from other bank’s ATM other than PNB, then 3 transactions are free in metro cities. This limit is 5 for non-metro cities. After the completion of the free transaction limit, every time a financial transaction is done, Rs 21 will be charged. Non-financial transaction will be charged Rs 9 each time.
