ATF Price Hike: Effect of expensive crude, sharp rise in air fuel prices, air travel on festivals will cut into pockets

ATF Price Hike: With the beginning of October, air passengers may be shocked by expensive fares. Oil companies have decided to increase the price of aviation fuel from today.

After this, the ATF price in the capital Delhi has reached Rs 1,18,199.17 per kilo liter. Here an increase of 5500 kilo liters i.e. 5.50 percent has been recorded compared to last month. Let us tell you that the new prices have come into effect from October 1, 2023. It is worth noting that after the increase in the price of crude oil, the price of ATF has increased. In September 2023, the price of ATF was being sold at Rs 1.12 lakh per liter in Delhi.

Know the price of ATF in metro cities-

Delhi – Rs 1,18,199.17 per kiloliter

Kolkata– Rs 1,26,697.08 per kiloliter

Mumbai– Rs 1,10,592.31 per kilolitre

Chennai– Rs 1,22,423.92 per kilolitre

The price had increased on September 1 also

An increase in ATF prices was also recorded on September 1, after which the concern of airlines companies increased before the beginning of the festive season. It is worth noting that including the increase in the price of air fuel in the month of October, the price of air fuel has been increased four times in a row. Even on July 1, oil companies had increased the price of ATF by 1.65 percent.

The main reason behind the increase in the price of jet fuel is the increase in the price of crude oil. In the last few days, there has been a huge increase in the price of crude oil in the international market and its price has reached $97. In such a situation, from July till now, the price of crude oil has seen a tremendous increase of 30 percent and in September alone, there has been a tremendous increase of 15 percent.

There will be pockets in the festive season

With the beginning of October, the festive season will start in a few days. On the occasion of Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali and Chhath, people go to their homes in large numbers. In such a situation, the effect of increase in the price of air fuel will also be visible on the air fare. In the coming days, airlines companies may pass this burden on their customers and air travel may become expensive for you during the festive season.
