Often people use antibiotics during fever or cold-cough. People often use antibiotics during cough-cold, body ache, fever or allergy. If you also do something like this then do not do it at all. Because WHO’s recent research is quite scary. Excessive use of this medicine is posing a threat to humanity due to ‘anti-microbial resistance’ which has emerged as a bigger threat than any epidemic.

‘Anti Micro-bial Resistance’ i.e. AMR kills 50 lakh people every year in the world. If the situation continues like this, the death toll will cross 1 crore by the year 2050. It can be estimated from this that 70 lakh people died in 3 years due to Covid epidemic. 1 crore people died in one year due to AMR.

What is AMR?

Antibiotics are used to kill bacteria. But if a person is using antibiotics repeatedly, then the bacteria develop their immunity against that medicine. After this it becomes very difficult to fix it. This is called anti-microbial resistance. In such a situation, treatment is not done properly but toxins start accumulating in the liver. At the same time, the risk of liver damage also increases. It starts with fatty liver. And gradually it turns into cirrhosis-fibrosis.
