What is appendicitis
Appendicitis occurs when the appendix becomes inflamed. If it is not recognized on time and is not treated, then there is a fear of its explosion. According to the doctor, appendix is a small bag attached to the intestine, which is in the lower right part of the abdomen. When there is any kind of problem in the appendix, then bacteria can grow in it. This can lead to formation of pus, swelling and hence abdominal pain. Blood circulation can also stop due to appendicitis.
How to identify appendicitis
1. This pain starts with a mild cramp in the upper abdomen or navel area, which gradually increases.
2. Sudden pain in the right side of the lower abdomen.
3. Increase in this pain on coughing or walking.
4. Loss of appetite, mild fever may occur as the disease progresses.
5. Abdominal bloating always accompanied by constipation or diarrhoea.
Cause of appendicitis
Infection occurs when there is a blockage in the lining of the appendix. This is believed to be the cause of appendicitis. Bacteria grow rapidly in infection. Due to this, inflammation and pus is formed in the appendix. If it is not treated in time, it can burst, due to which there is a risk of infection in the stomach.
Treatment and prevention of appendicitis
Surgery is done to cure appendicitis and it is removed from it. After this the patient is given antibiotics. Although there is no sure way to avoid appendicitis, still you should eat fiber-rich things in your diet. This problem is more in men than in women. If there is a family history of this disease, then its risk increases even more.
