Adani Group got a big blow! These 2 companies were excluded from MSCI India Index, shares fell

Adani Group News: The clouds of crisis hovering over Adani Group are not taking the name of abating. Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) has said that Adani Total Gas and Adani Transmission will be excluded from the MSCI India Index from May 31.

Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) has said that Adani Total Gas and Adani Transmission will be excluded from the MSCI India Index from May 31. After this, the shares of both the companies declined in the morning trading on Friday. Shares of Adani Total are trading at 825.05 level with a decline of 3.51 per cent today. Apart from this, the stock of Adani Transmission is also trading with a decline of 3.64 per cent.

It was decided to add 3 new companies to the index.

Let us tell you that on BSE this morning, the shares of Adani Total Gas fell five percent to Rs 812.60. Shares of Adani Transmission also fell by five per cent to Rs 871.15. MSCI said that it has decided to remove three companies from the index and add three new companies. These changes will be applicable from 31 May 2023.

Which stocks will be included

Indus Towers will also be excluded from the MSCI India index. Shares of Indus Towers fell 2.34 per cent to Rs 147.90 on the BSE. The names of the companies that will be included in the index are Hindustan Aeronautics, Max Healthcare Institute and Sona BLW Precision. Equity investors around the world widely use MSCI Global Standard Indices to make investment decisions.

Hearing is to be held in the Supreme Court today

Let us tell you that today i.e. on May 12, the hearing on the petitions filed regarding the Adani-Hindenburg dispute is also going to be held in the Supreme Court. Everyone’s eyes are on this matter at this time. In March, the Supreme Court had formed a six-member committee for this case. Retired judge Justice Abhay Manohar Sapre is presiding over this committee.
