72 Hoorain Review: Direction looks like a theater play, new approach on the story of terrorism

72 Hoorain Film Review: This film by Sanjay Puran Singh presents a different perspective on terrorism. This black and white film of Sanjay tells that terrorism has no religion.

The most awaited film 72 Huron has been released in theatres. The film has gone through all kinds of controversies even before its release. Controversy with the Censor Board, tag of Islamophobic film and know what. Well, does the film really target any religion or has terrorism only been shown in a pure way. Read this review to know..

The story is

about two terrorists who carried out the bomb blast at the Gateway of India in Mumbai. They are in a hurry to die because their terrorist masters have told them that those who give martyrdom are welcomed by 72 hoors sitting in heaven. The fabric of the story has been woven after his death.

When he is faced with the truth after his death, his heart breaks. He remembers his deeds. But by the time they realise, it is too late. Do they really go to heaven by killing so many innocent people? And there they get powers equal to 40 men? Head to the theaters to know the answers to all the questions.

Sanjay Puran Singh, who has won the National Award for the direction

film ‘Lahore’, has also received the National Award for ‘Bhattar Huron’. The way Sanjay’s film was promoted under the market gimmick, the film appears to be just the opposite on the screen. Sanjay wins hearts only because of trying not to make any kind of sensation or exaggerate the story. Through this story, the director has made us aware of such a bitter truth, perhaps knowing it, we ignore it. Talking about religion here, Sanjay has also taken full care of its sensitivity. He has not made any attempt to degrade any religion from anywhere. Sanjay was able to convey this very beautifully that terrorism has no religion.

Taking some spine chilling shots, the film makes a very deep point. Seeing the film, it is felt that some theater play is going on. Perhaps Sanjay has kept the treatment of the film in this style. This film of his is certainly thought provoking, but there is doubt as to how much it will be able to attract the masala-loving audience. Actually the story based on the conversation of two people seems a bit stretched at many places. Generally, the audience goes to the film for entertainment, in such a situation, only the business of the film will be able to tell how much response such stories get in the theatres.

The technical

film looks aesthetically very beautiful. Cinematically the work has been done on a lot of detail. Many shots of this film decorated on black and white color palette are amazing. The red colored plane passing through the actors sitting near a hoarding, the shots of Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the drone shots of the Gateway of India look beautiful on the screen. The background score of the film also seems to mix like sugar with the emotion of the scenes. Although the color of the film can be a draw back.

The casting of the acting

film has been perfect. Pawan Malhotra and Aamir Bashir have lived their characters. Especially during the climax, seeing that last scene of Pawan Malhotra, it seems that he has looted the party. Pawan’s work as an artist will be remembered.

Why watch

if you have a notion about the film that it is Islamophobic, then definitely watch for your clarity. Apart from this, the story has been presented from a new perspective on terrorism. The film can be given a chance for excellent acting and direction. If yes, you are looking for entertainment in it, then of course the film will disappoint you.
